Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif felicitated the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, saying Pakistan’s nuclear capability symbolises the country’s strong defence.
In her special message issued on Youm-e-Takbeer, the chief minister said: “Alhamdulillah, I extend heartfelt congratulations to every Pakistani and the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.”
She paid tribute to every member of the team involved in accomplishing Pakistan’s nuclear mission and also saluted Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for making Pakistan the first nuclear power in the Islamic world.
“Nawaz Sharif neither sold out nor bowed down. I am proud to be the daughter of a great personality,” she said.
CM Maryam Nawaz said Youm-e-Takbeer was a day of pride not only for the Pakistani nation but for the entire Muslim world.
She said Pakistan’s nuclear programme was a symbol of the country’s strong defence, adding that whether it was May 10 or May 28, the nation still acknowledged the courageous decisions taken by the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-N.
“We made Pakistan a nuclear power for a strong defence, and now making it economically invincible is our mission,” she added. The chief minister further said that on this occasion, the nation must renew its pledge for unity, solidarity, hard work, courage, tolerance and harmony.
