Summary for hike in Orange Train fare sent to Punjab CM

Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi felicitated Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on being awarded Order Of the Union Medal from the UAE President and participating in the Royal ilitary Academy Sandhurst passing out parada as a Chief Guest.Both these honours speak volumes of the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s professional and leadership abilities. Such an honour vehemently depicts Pakistan’s strong relations with the Great Britain and the United Arab Emirates,he lauded. CM praised that General Qamar Javed Bajwa has played a historic role in further augmenting Pakistan’s relations with the Great Britain and the UAE. The whole nation takes pride in the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, concluded CM.

Meanwhile, Following the finance department’s nod, the transport department of the government of Punjab on Thursday forwarded a summary for an increase in the fare of Lahore’s Orange Train to Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for his approval.

It was suggested in the summary that a passenger should be charged minimum Rs20 and maximum Rs40 depending upon the distance he had covered.
