In order to ensure smooth flow of flood water, district administration has begun the cleaning of all storm drains across the district, said Deputy Commissioner Kabir Khan Afridi on Friday.
Talking to the office bearers of District Press Club Tank, Kabir Khan Afridi said that soon four more tube wells will be made operational for provision of clean drinking water to Tank city which will help to overcome the water scarcity issue.
He maintained that in wake of Moon Soon torrential rains, the district administration has begun the cleaning of all the flood drains across the district to avoid any untoward incident and tackle the potential flood situation.
He further noted that all the resources were being utilized to improve hygiene in the district. He main-tained that collaboration of media and the district administration was necessary for public awareness and resolution of public issues.
President Press Club TANK Syed Shah Kundi and General Secretary Haji Kifayatullah Paracha assured the Deputy Commissioner of their optimum support for identification and resolution of public issues and lauded the role of Kabir Khan Afridi for taking a keen interest in addressing the public issues.
