Clean Green Pakistan Index is recognized all over world

Provincial Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq and Central Leader Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Usman Dar said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Clean Green Pakistan Index is recognized all over the world for its usefulness and importance.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has formulated the points of this campaign and competition as per the vision of the Prime Minister.

They expressed these views while addressing the launching ceremony of Phase II of Clean Green Index at Sialkot Fort yesterday.

Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq further said that there was no doubt that full measures were taken within the government departments as per the Green Index, there is a need to raise awareness among the people.

Because it is not possible to cultivate a healthy environment without the cooperation of the people. He said that a full awareness campaign should be launched in this regard.

He said that the Punjab government in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank has set up a mega clean water project in the city which would enable the supply of clean water to 4 lakh residents of Sialkot.

Similarly, billions of rupees are being spent on upgrading parks and solid waste management.

Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Sialkot Faisal Shehzad while giving a detailed briefing to the participants about the rules and regulations of Clean Green Pakistan Index said that Sialkot in the first phase of Clean Green Index in collaboration with Sun of Sialkot at a cost of Rs 15 million and built beautiful monuments in the squares in which not a single rupee was spent by the municipal corporation.

Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Mir Muhammad Nawaz Bharwana said that the scope of Clean Green Pakistan Index under local government is limited to urban areas.

He said that Sialkot district will perform well in Clean Green Pakistan Index and will get the first position.

He said that a coherent and comprehensive line of action would be formulated in this regard and activities in this regard would be launched from today.

Provincial Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Ikhlaq, PTI leader Usman Dar and DC Sialkot Mir Muhammad Nawaz also distributed Green Clean Pakistan Index trophies between Co MCS Faisal Shehzad, Chairman PHA Zulfiqar Bhatti, Mustansir Abbas and Ashfaq Nazar for their high performance in the first phase of Clean Green Pakistan Index.
