As many as 35 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 7,030 and 1021 new cases emerged when 17,668 tests were conducted.
This was stated by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Tuesday. He added that 35 more patients of Covidlost their lives lifting the death toll to 7,030 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate.
Shah said that 17,668 samples were tested which detected 1021 cases that constituted 5.8 percent current detection rate.
He added that so far 5,660,055 tests have been conducted against which 439,770 cases were diagnosed, of them 87.4 percent or 384,369 patients have recovered, including 914 overnight.
The CM said that currently 48,371 patients were under treatment, of them 47,498 were in home isolation, 45 at isolation centers and 828 at different hospitals.
He added that the condition of 740 patients was stated to be critical, including 71 shifted to ventilators.
According to the statement, out of 1021 new cases, 412 have been detected from Karachi, including 127 from East, 107 South, 66 Central, 45 Malir, 44 Korangi and 23 West.
Shah urged people to abide by the SOPs issued by the government.
