As many as 4 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 4,452 and 255 new cases emerged when 10,377 tests were conducted.
This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Thursday.
He added that 4 more patients of Covid-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 4,452 that constituted 1.7 percent death rate.Mr. Shah said that 10,377 samples were tested which detected 255 cases that constituted 2.5 percent current detection rate.
He added that so far 3,116,999 tests have been conducted against which 260,660 cases were diagnosed, of them 97 percent or 252,532 patients have recovered, including 859 overnight.
The CM said that currently 3,676 patients were under treatment, of them 3,376 were in home isolation, 11 at isolation centers and 289 at different hospitals.
He added that the condition of 260 patients was stated to be critical, including 42 shifted to ventilators.
According to the statement, out of 255 new cases, 136 have been detected from Karachi, including 89 from East, 15 South, Central and Malir 11 each, Korangi and West 5 each.
Tando Muhammad Khan has 16, Hyderabad and Thatta 13 each, Sanghar 10, Khairpur 8, Matiari and Mirpurkhas 7 each, Jacobabad and Larkana 6 each, Kamber and Nausheroferoze 5 each, Ghotki, Umerkot and Thando Allahyar 4 each, Shikarpur 2, Badin, Sujawal, Sukkur and Shaheed Benazirabad 1 each.
The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
