The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday said that chances of further monsoon rains in Karachi are over. However, it predicted light rain in various parts of the metropolis for the next few days.
According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Sardar Sarfraz, the monsoon period in Karachi begins from July 15 and continues till September 15 but this year, the monsoon rains started earlier from July 1.
He said that during the next few days, due to the low-lying clouds hovering over the coast, there is a possibility of drizzling in the port city, adding that there is no chance of monsoon rains in rural Sindh as well.
