Citizens across Pakistan can obtain Islamabad driving license

Following the special directives of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Islamabad Police has taken anothercommendable step by initiating the issuance of driving licenses for citizens across Pakistan, a public relations officer said. He said that, in this regard the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali NasirRizvi issued a formal notification. According to it, now citizens residing in any city of Pakistan can obtain their driving licenses from Islamabad Traffic Police.

Citizens can obtain driving learner permits from Islamabad Traffic Police Headquarters, smart digital windows, and service centers.

IGP Islamabad Syed Ali NasirRizvi said that previously, this facility was only available to residents of the federal capital holding Islamabad addresses on their CNICs.

He further said that, the Islamabad Police is ensuring the protection of life and property of citizens, providing citizens with all possible facilities including traffic management and regulations.

Citizens are urged to ensure compliance with traffic laws, because driving without a license is a violation as adherence to traffic laws ensures a safe life.
