Speakers at a ‘Christmas Cake Cutting’ ceremony on Thursday stressed for co-existence, tolerance, and peace loving society and totally rejected the division of society on the bases of religion.
Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) arranged the Cake cutting ceremony in commemoration of the upcoming Christmas and to express solidarity with Christian community. They call for creation of peace loving society where every person should be given freedom of their religion. Main Purpose of the ceremony was to discourage hate in the society, which according to them was on rise now a day and flourish peace.
They claimed that all people are same irrespective of their religion.
As a Chief Gust Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary for Education said the government is giving top priority to the rights of non-Muslims. Not only the prime ministry, but Chief Minister Punjab also held bold initiative of initiating Christmas celebration from Dec 14, 2025 in Punjab. According to the Constitution and Quaid-e-Azam vision, She said every one in Pakistan are free to celebrate their religious worship.
Farah Naz Akbar stressed for spread of tolerance in the society, which according to her now a day shrinked. First of all, She said we all are equal Pakistanis and then Muslim and non-Muslims.
Speaking on the occasion Senior Vice Chairman NPC and Chairman & Editor In Chief, Pakistan Observer Faisal Zahid Malik said that Nariya Pakistan Council always arranged different events for Non-Muslim festivals and particularly for spreading Ideology of Pakistan among the new generation. He also said that his father late Zahid Malik devoted his life for Pakistan ideology.
MNA Farah Khan told the gathering that she got education in Christian institution but they thought children humanity instead education. She advised the Christian community to take active participation in upcoming local body election in federal capital.
NPC Chairman Mian Muhammad Javed said, “We are spreading late Zahid Malik Vision and also work for humanity”. He claimed NPC is a non-political organization and work for educating youg generation about ideology of Pakistan.
Former Bishop Samual Uzria said Christmas is not only celebration of christian rather it is a celebration which talks about humanity.
Executive Secretary NPC Gauhar Zahid Malik, former Senator and Chairperson of Taleem Network Pakistan, Razina Alam Khan, Majabeen Abbasi, Manzoor Masih, Chaudry Ashraf, Ayub Jozaf, Aman Akram, Gul Rukh, Farah Javed and many other attended the Christmas Cake Cutting ceremony.
