Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that the news being aired on the media with regard to differences between Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and Chief Secretary Punjab Jawwad Rafique Malik are baseless, fabricated and contrary to the facts. He further outlined that the news being aired on ARY Channel carries no veracity. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan in his explanatory statement apprised that CM Usman Buzdar holds the authority and powers of being the Chief Executive of the province and CS Punjab Jawwad Rafique Malik is the administrative head of the province.
He further added that excellent working relationship exists between the CM Punjab and CS. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan underscored that on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Chief Secretary Punjab is running the affairs of the province in an impeccable manner.
The minister, while expressing his views on the reduction in prices of petroleum products by the federal government for the month of June, has termed it a gift from Prime Minister Imran Khan to the people.
In the past, the effects of decreased global petroleum prices have never been transmitted to the masses to such an extent, he added. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that providing relief to the people even in the most difficult economic conditions due to Covid-19 is the hallmark of Prime Minister Imran Khan and a clear expression of his deep connection with the poor and needy.
He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sincere efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the country are being appreciated globally, but opposition in its perpetual jealousy, instead of acknowledging such relief measures by the prime minister, is treading the path of baseless and futile criticism. Chohan advised the opposition to take practical steps against Covid-19 instead of shallow verbal claims.
While criticizing Shehbaz Sharif, he said that PML-N’s president is using Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in media to avoid expected TT reference by NAB but Shahid Khaqan himself is corrupt. Shehbaz Sharif’s politics revolve around TTs, nepotism, hypocrisy and cowardice, he added.
Nawaz Sharif, in order to flee from Pakistan, used to use his ill health as an excuse, Chohan said. But now he can be seen sitting brazenly in London. The minister also said that Shehbaz Sharif used to boast of his bravery but is in hiding ever since he returned from London to fight Corona epidemic. He said that the recently surfaced image of Nawaz Sharif on social media should have been a source of embarrassment for Sharif family but Begum Safdar Awan, in her arrogance, is trying in vain to golrify it.
