The Punjab government has assigned new responsibilities to Fayyazul Hassan Chohan after taking Information Ministry from him and made him the new Provincial Minister for Prisons.
In this regard, he had an important meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in which issues of mutual interest were discussed while responsibilities of the new ministry were also discussed. Fayyazul Hassan Chohan vowed to carry out his responsibilities more efficiently. It may be recalled that Fayyaz also holds the portfolio of the Ministry of Colonies.
The Prisons Minister issued the first order as soon as he took charge of his ministry. According to sources, in his first order the minister sought information about the stay of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz in jail.
It is to be noted that the portfolio of provincial information minister was taken back from Fayyazul Chohan and handed over to Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan. Talking to the media, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan was questioned by the media men that if he was aware of the news regarding loosing his ministry, he expressed his ignorance. In a tweet on Tuesday, he wrote, “What happened is for the good. This is our faith in God”. The Indian RAW, the Mix Achar Party and especially the PML-N were the happiest on the return of the Information Ministry. “I am a soldier of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he wrote and warned the PML-N leaders, “Don’t be happy wherever I will be will continue to expose your corruption”. The story of losing ministry has also surfaced after Firdous Aashiq Awan has taken charge of her office.
WHY DID CHOHAN LOST THE INFORMATION MINISTRY?
Why did Fayyazul Hassan Chauhan lose the Ministry of Information? According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s favorite Fayyazul Hassan Chohan fell victim to an internal conspiracy of the party. The Prime Minister often praised Fayyazul Hassan Chohan’s performance in meetings. In the meetings of the spokespersons, the Prime Minister used to give the example of Fayyazul Hassan Chohan’s work to other ministers. Senior cabinet ministers also had reservations about Mr Chohan. According to the concerns of the ministers, Fayyaz Chohan does less for the government and more for his own projection. The Punjab Chief Minister was also in favor of Fayyaz Chohan’s secession from the ministry.
Centre’s social media complaints led to Fayyazul Hassan Chohan’s dismissal from the ministry. On the last visit of the Prime Minister to Lahore, the social team of the federation heaped complaints against Chohan and objections were raised on the increased interference of Fayyazul Hassan Chauhan in the social media department of Punjab government. In the social media team, Chohan wanted to adjust his people. Complaints were also made by different people against Fayyazul Hassan Chohan.
