China’s auto sales continued to grow steadily in July, underpinned by the country’s efforts to boost auto consumption, industrial data showed on Thursday.
China’s auto sales in July rose 29.7 percent year on year to 2.42 million units, data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) showed.
Auto production rose 31.5 percent year on year to reach 2.46 million units during the period. In July, sales of passenger vehicles soared 40 percent year on year to 2.17 million units, data showed.
In particular, the sales of new energy vehicles last month reached 593,000 units, up some 120 percent, the CAAM data showed.—Xinhua
