Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik felicitated Governor State Bank for launching the game changer financial inclusion initiative Asaan Mobile Account (AMA), which is powered by NADRA, for ease in remote account opening under branchless banking.
The Asaan Mobile Account is a digital wallet account backed by NADRA’s eKYC feature that will enable financial transactions securely using mobile phone even without internet connectivity.
Asaan Mobile Account can be opened in Pakistani currency only by resident Pakistanis with a valid National ID card using any registered mobile phone.
It is a faster and more convenient service, designed to allow individuals to send and receive money easily to any account within Pakistan without smart phones and internet connectivity.
Prior to its launch, the technology has passed extensive user acceptance testing & Quality Assurance lifecycle. Over one million accounts with 11 million transactions worth PKR 6.2 billion turnover passed through this banking platform successfully with secure eKYC feature of NADRA.
