The federal and Sindh governments have decided to work together for the prevention of all kinds of drugs.This was decided at a meeting between Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah and Federal Secretary for Narcotics Control Akbar Durrani at Sindh Secretariat on Thursday.
In the meeting, the Chief Secretary Sindh said that strict measures would be taken against the sale of all kinds of drugs in the province.
“Drugs are not being made in the country, they are coming from outside, and we have to stop it at the border to control drug use,” he said. Shah further said that the work for rehabilitation of drug addicts will be further improved.
He said that with the help of ANF and other non-government organisations, work on rehabilitation of drug addicts was being done and soon an important project for the rehabilitation of these people would be launched through a public private partnership.
