Secretary Information & Culture Punjab Raja Jahangir Anwar has said that the celebrations on Independence Day are reflective of our unconditional and long lasting love for the beloved homeland.
He said that this day also reminds us of the great sacrifices made by our forefathers and it is a day of recommitment to make Pakistan the world’s most prosperous and developed nation.
These views were expressed by him while addressing a function held at the DGPR head office on Saturday in connection with Independence Day celebrations.
DGPR Saman Rai and a large number of officers and officials of the department were also present on this occasion.
The cake cutting ceremony was also held in connection with 75th independence day of Pakistan and 77th Foundation Day of DGPR. National anthem and patriotic songs were also sung on this occasion.
The Information Secretary also planted a memorial plant in the premises of DGPR. Raja Jahangir Anwar said that all Pakistanis will have to work hard day and night for the development and progress of Pakistan.
Freedom is a blessing and it should be hounured and gratitudes should be expressed to Almighty Allah as we are living in a free country.
DGPR Suman Rai said that personnel of the department are discharging their obligations with professionalism and commitment.
She said that all means including social media in DGPR are being utilized for effective communication.
The performance of DGPR has come in line with the requirements of the modern era by digitalization and using the latest gadgets.
The DGPR has a main role in promoting the government’s development schemes and projects of public welfare.
