RAWALPINDI – Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shibani, accompanied by a delegation, met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the meeting focused on opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas related to regional security.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted Pakistan’s longstanding fraternal ties with Syria and conveyed Islamabad’s perspective on global peace and regional stability.
He also stressed the importance of joint efforts and greater cooperation to address shared security challenges.
The Syrian foreign minister, meanwhile, appreciated the professional role of the Pakistan Army in contributing to regional peace and stability.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and agreed to expand cooperation in the defence and security sectors.
