CDA to install pedestrian bridges at three different places

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) istaking several steps to provide best possible facilities to the citizensincluding the installation of pedestrian bridges at three differentplaces.

The civic body is going to install the bridges to facilitate pedestrianscross the Srinagar Highway, which are in the final stages so that roadaccidents can be reduced.

According to a press release, due to the installation of one of thesethree pedestrian bridges, on 28 January 2024 at 10pm Sector G-7/4Opposite Chairman Office CDA, Metro Bus Station, Srinagar Highway willbe completely closed for all types of traffic. Moreover, the authority has also appealed to the Islamabad TrafficPolice to arrange timely alternative routes to facilitate the public sothat the citizens do not face any kind of difficulties.

Likewise, the CDA administration has also appealed to the public tofully cooperate with the Islamabad Traffic Police to avoid any kind ofuntoward incident. Caretaker Minister for interior Dr. GoharEjaz on Thursday directed district administration of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to establish cheap markets for general public in the federal capital.

He gave the directions during a meeting with Interior Secretary Aftab Akbar Durrani, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Anwar Haq and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The minster said that Islamabad police and district administration should play a role for better and peaceful quality of life for citizens in the federal capital.
