The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a comprehensive cleanliness campaign at different tourist spots in the federal capital to massively attract them.

Talking to media, the CDA official said that the effective drive has been kicked off recently aimed to ensure a neat and clean ambiance as numerous tourists are thronging to twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi to enjoy their trips.

He said the CDA sanitary workers are involved in collecting plastic waste and littering discarded items creating uncleanness. One of the key challenges was to ensure a plastic-free environment, especially in green spaces because plastic bottles, wrappers, and shopping bags were rampantly littered at the tourist destination, he added.

He urged the masses to throw the disposal material in dust bins already installed at all the parks in the capital city to ensure a fresh environment which was essential for a healthy life. Moreover, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Mohammad Ali Randhawa has termed the business community as real face of the capital city which has been playing an important role in its development and said that it would be taken on board in the decision makings.

This was stated by him while talking to a delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) led by its President AhsanZafarBakhtawari which called on him here on Monday.

Mohammad Ali Randhawa expressed the hope that by adopting the best practices, coming out of comfort zones and adhering to the practical approach we will be able to overcome all the problems relating to the development of the city adding that he along with his team will soon visit the Chamber House to get firsthand knowledge of the problems facing the business community.

The Chairman CDA further said that he himself by visiting different markets turn by turn, holding meetings with traders’ leaders then and there direct the concerned Officers for the solution of their problems.
