CDA chief for survey of buildings after quake

The Capital Development Authority (CDA)Chairman Noor-ul-Amin Mengal has di-rected the concerned officials to conduct a survey of all the buildings in Islamabad after the earthquake to assess the damages. According to a press release issued by the CDA on Wednesday, the CDAchairman directed the Building Control Agency to identify the earthquake-damaged buildings in the city.

All buildings, especially in Sector E-11, should be identified which have been dam-aged. The chairman directed the officials to start this survey immediately and submit a report within 24 hours. Meanwhile, the ICT administration said that no casualty or infrastructural damage has been reported so far following a 6.8-magnitude earthquake which shook the country on Tuesday night. Reports of cracks in Khudadad Heights, E-11 Islamabad, the building has been evacuated and an investigation has been launched by the authorities.
