What is being described as “angry over appointment of new CCPO Lahore”, Punjab IG Police Shoaib Dastgir did not return to his office after the appointment of CCPO.
On the other hand CCPO Sheikh Omar has ruled out the impression that he has differences with the IGP. He said that IGP is my senior and boss as well. He also refuted the impression that his appointment was made to suppress the opposition. He said that action against the opposition will be taken only in accordance with the law.
According to sources, the appointment of CCPO Lahore Omar Sheikh was against the wishes of IG Punjab. IG Shoaib Dastagir also raised the issue with the Prime Minister’s House after the appointment of CCPO.
The senior police officer said that IG Punjab has decided his future which you will know in the future.
According to media reports, in a meeting with the Chief Minister, IG Punjab clarified that he could not continue working in the current situation.
CCPO Sheikh Omar arrives at Supreme Court Lahore Registry, where he met Registrar SC Khawaja Dawad and Deputy Registrar Ijaz Ajmad Goraya.
CCPO further said that people have heard his name very little, but his stay in DG Khan was only because of Chief Minister’s choice. The CCPO said that there were crimes of different nature in Lahore, we will prevent it according to the nature of the crime.

It should be noted that the private TV channel has claimed that in a meeting with the Chief Minister, IG Punjab made it clear that he could not continue working in the current situation.
