CCPO Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mehmood Dogar presided over an important meeting today at Capital City Police Headquarters to review various issues including law and order, crime control situation and overall performance on the National Action Plan. DIG Operations Afzal Ahmad Kausar, SP Security Sayyed Aziz, all divisional SSP Operations Wing attended the meeting. Capital City Police Officer Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar ordered the divisional SSP to mobilize themselves immediately against the gangsters, miscreants and the Qabza Mafia to protect lives and properties of the citizens.
Ghulam Mehmood Dogar warned the illegal occupant groups, goons and criminals to either leave the city or be prepared themselves to go to jails. CCPO Lahore further said that citizens would now see strict action against criminal elements and justice done for the oppressed segments of society. Ghulam Mahmood Dogar directed the concerned police officers to make personal files, history sheets of the miscreants as well as ensure their regular attendance to the relevant police stations and take surety bonds from them as not to participate in any illegal activities in the future.
CCPO Lahore continued that Lahore police would make an example to the others of goons and gangsters who harass, torture and abuse women and children. Ghulam Mahmood Dogar further said that no matter how much influential, land grabbers would never be allowed to occupy the lands and properties of the citizens and dealt with iron hands.
He directed to take indiscriminate action and arrest the elements who harass the citizens by display of weapons as well as aerial firing on social media and double cabin vehicles. Lahore Police Chief warned that the SHOs who had links with the land grabbers and organized criminals would not remain at their posts and removed immediately. SHOs with continuous poor performance, involvement in corruption and abuse of authority would also be sacked from their present posts on the recommendations of their concerned SSP. CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar directed that the SHOs must check the guards of private, government and financial institutions, shops and other such places every morning to ensure implementation on Vulnerable Establishments Security Ordinance. He further directed strict action on Loud Speaker Act, Wall Chalking Act and ban on hate material.
