CBD Punjab drives urban evolution with major progress in Walton road upgradation and flyovers

Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), continues to spearhead significant advancements in urban infrastructure with major progress achieved in its ongoing projects, particularly the Walton Road Upgradation and Walton Railway Crossing Flyovers initiatives. CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, recently chaired a comprehensive project review meeting, underscoring the authority’s commitment to timely and impactful urban development.

During the meeting, CEO CBD Punjab,Imran Amin was briefed on the substantial developments within the Walton Road Upgradation and Walton Railway Crossing Flyovers projects. Executive Director Technical, RiazHussain; Director Project Management, AsifIqbal; Director Architecture and Planning, Sameer AftabSial; Director Construction, Asif Babar; alongside officials from NESPAK and NLC, attended the meeting.

Significant milestones were highlighted during the review session. For the major IshaqShaheed Flyover, all six piers and two abutment walls have been completed, with shuttering and steel fixing currently underway, alongside ongoing concrete pouring said project is a part of Walton Road Upgradation. Progress on the remodeling of ADA Nullah is equally notable, with 70% of steel fixing completed and roadwork initiated. Furthermore, significant strides have been made in the construction of Walton Railway Crossing Flyovers, with asphalt completed up to the MSC wall slope and the completion of girders for one section.—PR
