Cash, car and valuables worth10m robbed

A gang of armed and unidentified robbers snatched national and foreign currency, a car, gold ornaments and other valuables worth more than 10 million rupees.

According to the police, in village Thakrah Mahey in the limits of the Begowala police station, eight armed and unidentified robbers stormed the house of Amir Mushtaq on late at Saturday night and made the house mates hostage at gun point.

After that, the robbers looted Rs 3 million cash, a car (LED 7744) worth Rs 1.5 million, gold ornaments worth Rs 3.3 million, 13500 Euros worth over Rs 2.6 million a licensed rifle and other valuables from the house and managed to escape. The police have registered a case against robbers and started investigations.
