The University of Okara’s (UO) Directorate of Career Counselling organized an expo with Global Group of Education where more than 800 students were guided for international scholarships and admissions in the universities of Europe, USA, UK, Canada, and Australia.

The event was arranged by the Director Career Counselling, Dr Nasrin Akhter, and presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Wajid. The Director Student Affairs, Dr Amjad, and a senior officer of administration, Sadiq Amin, also facilitated in the expo. About 60 teachers and students from the Cadet College Okara also participated in the event.

The expo witnessed a series of career counseling activities and recruitment drives. Commenting on the significance of the expo, Dr Nasrin said, “Universities cannot survive in isolation from private sector and industry. Therefore, we need to develop a good liaison with various national and global institutions for the benefit of our students.” The VC and the DSA distributed certificates and shields among the event organizers and participants.
