In order to create awareness among women about importance and benefits of breast feeding for new born and mothers health is being observed in the district Hafizabad. In his connection, a seminar held under auspices of Health Department at a local hall. Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warriach presided over the seminar.
CEO Health Dr. Umer Sharif Rathor, District Coordination Dr. Rai Sharoz, Madam Ishrat Rana, President District Bar Mallik Waqas Raza Awan, DO Population Welfare Muhammad Atif Ali, Vice President Chamber of Commerce Abdul Jabbar Ansari, doctors, social workers, representatives of civil society, Ulema also attended the seminar.
Addressing the seminar, DC said that breast milk is a complete and healthy food for newborns enriched with natural vitamins which were essential for healthy growth of newborns. He said that breast feeding was not only useful for infants but it also vital for health of mothers.
He said that breast feeding was also saved women from breast cancer and other diseases and it is order of the almighty Allah that mothers must be breast feed the infants at least two years. He said that district administration had established Mother Care Centres in all government departments so that workers women could not face any difficulty to feed and look after their children.
