Preparations for Nanga Peer Festival 2022 at famous tourist resort Nanga Peer in Bagh, Azad Kashmir, are almost in final phase with tourist bikers, hikers and other sportsmen from Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and even abroad joining the gala, which is going to start from today Friday. Students from different educational institutions will also participate in the event.

The tourists and guests are warmly welcomed by organisers and government officials at Kohala bridge. Festival will start on Friday and will continue till September 25. However, its part two Agri AJK Festival will last till 27 September. The chief organizer of the event, Nisar Ahmad Shaiq, on the occasion talking to media men deplored that people of Azad Kashmir often enjoy events like Nanga Peer Festival, while their brethren in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are even not allowed to go to parks in groups by the brutal Indian forces.

He called upon the international community including the United Nations to put pressure on India to allow Kashmiris from both sides of the Line of Control to organize and participate in sports activities like Nanga Peer Festival without any hindrance.
