Cabinet to seek report from IGP over helping FIA in arrests

Members of Punjab cabinet have strongly reacted to help by provincial police to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in arrests of social media users.

Punjab cabinet meeting, chaired by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, decided to seek explanation from IG Punjab over the matter.

The letter penned to IG Punjab, directs him to investigate that whether police sought permission before aiding FIA and if not, how the provincial force, without permission, helped in unlawful arrests.

The letter also seeks report on why the vehicles of Elite Force were used in such illegal operations
