Anti-India rallies and demonstrations were held in different areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani. Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir a function and rally in Muzaffarabad where Pakistan and state flags were hoisted and national anthems were sung. Mothers and daughters of martyrs laid flowers on the pictures of their dear ones.
The protest rally was led by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali and Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim. Dr Raja Sajjad Latif Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony while the leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Zahid Safi and Mushtaq-ul-Islam chaired the event. In the ceremony, the mothers, daughters, children and widows of Kashmiri martyrs sprinkled flowers on their pictures, which brought tears to the eyes of everyone present on the occasion. The speakers on the occasion said that young leader (Burhan) of Kashmir took over the command of the resistance movement in difficult conditions and challenged the Indian usurpers by highlighting the plight of Kashmiri people on social media.
The Jammu Kashmir Young Men’s League organized a similar rally on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani at Garhi Dupatta in Jhelum Valley in which tributes were paid to all the martyrs, including Burhan Wani. A large number of youth participated in the rally. On the occasion, the youth raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans and gave a message to the Indian government that the Kashmiris’ would continue the mission of Burhan Wani till it reached its logical conclusion.
