Burglars arrested; looted cash worth Rs 10 million recovered

Islamabad capital police apprehended two burglars and recovered looted cash worth 10 million cash and valuablesfrom their possession, a police public relations officer said.

He said that DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered allzonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.

According to the details, a citizen submitted an application in PS Bhara Kahu on august 9 that he had gone to his native town on Muharram-ul-Harram holidays, when hereturned back to his residence in Islamabad, that the house lock were broken and gold ornaments andcash were missing.

Upon receiving the information, the police teams immediately responded to the crime scene, registered a case and started an investigation. On the instructions of SP City Tasawar Iqbal constituted teams under the supervision ofASP BharaKahu Rana Hussain Tahir consisting of SHO BharaKahu Tariq Rao, SHO Phulgaran Nasir Manzoor and other officials.Police teams used the latest technology and human resources and succeeded to trace the case and arrestedtwo burglars. Police also recovered Rs 10 million and valuables from their possession.

The burglars were identified as Tariq Khan S/o Khalid Khan and Sabeel Muhammad S/o Khan Muhammad.The recovered money and gold ornaments were handed over to the citizen who appreciated the efforts of the police teams and thanked the IslamabadCapital Police.

DIG Operations praised the excellent performance of the police teams andissued further instructions to all zonal officers that concrete stepsshould be taken to deal with street crime and other criminal elements.
