Zu Bicycle sharing system a state-of-the-art project of BRT Peshawar is the first of its kind in Pakistan. After the successful commencement of BRT Peshawar, TransPeshawar has made all necessary arrangements to formally launch the Zu Bicycle sharing system for the public.
With the commencement of this system, it will amplify the ease of transport for people from all walks of life, especially for students.
Spokesperson Trans Peshawar Muhammad Umair Khan stated that the Zu Bicycle Sharing system is one of its kind and will be the first-ever project in Pakistan. He added that 360 bicycles for the said project are ready.
In order to avail Zu Bicycle sharing system membership, the user may have to reach any BRT Ticket office along with original CNIC which should be verified, Zu Card /Zu mobile application, accepting the terms and conditions stated for the said membership and submitting Rs 3000 as refundable security for the Zu Bicycle sharing system.
Further stating he added that keeping the Zu Bicycle for more than 72 hours will be considered theft and legal action will automatically start against the user who availed it.
There will be three most economical fare packages out of which availing any package; riding Zu bicycle for the first 30 minutes will be not be charged whereas after 30 minutes time-based fare will start.
With the Zu Bicycle sharing system it is believed that the load of traffic on roads will lessen followed by it will be a source of healthy, positive activity, a better mode of transportation for the Public, especially for students.
