BPS teachers announce to hold sit-in protest

BPS teachers of universities deprived of service structure were forced to take to the streets to enforce their demands.

President of Pakistan University BPS Teachers Association GC University Faisalabad Wing Dr. Rizwanullah Kokab, General Secretary Dr. Amir Shaheen along with other teachers while addressing a press conference at Faisalabad Press Club said that for fifteen years. Dr. Iram Sultana, Dr. Faiz Ahmed, Dr. Umair Bilal, Dr. Imran Muslim and Dr. Farooq were also present on the occasion.

President BPS Instructor Dr. Rizwanullah Kokab said that the organization has held several meetings with HEC in the last two years so far but the promise regarding service center garbage has not been fulfilled which has made the teachers very hesitant. He said that in case of protests, the teaching environment of the universities would be severely affected. He also said that the slowdown in the development process has affected the teachers and now the organization is disappointed.

The protest has been going on since yesterday and if the demands are not met, the sit-in on March 10 will continue till the service center garbage is received.
