Shahir Afridi, Sindh Police’s celebrated Commando Boxer, was greeted with a warm and enthusiastic reception at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, after his victorious performance at an international boxing competition in Bangkok. Afridi was met with bouquets of flowers and a shower of rose petals by his fellow police officers, marking his triumphant return.
The Commandant DIGP RRF/CMU, along with senior officials from the Sindh Police, honored Afridi’s achievement, as he successfully defended his WBA, WBC, and ABF titles by defeating his South African opponent in the 5th round. This victory further cements his reputation as a world-class boxer. On this proud occasion, DIGP RRF/CMU Capt. (R) Faisal Abdullah Chachar congratulated Afridi, stating that the entire Sindh Police takes pride in his dedication and accomplishments.
“His continuous victories on the international stage bring great honor to the force,” he remarked.
