BOR recovers 578 acres land worth Rs1.9b: Babar

Senior Member Board of Revenue (BOR) Punjab, Babar Hayat Tarar has said that in line with the directions of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, an indiscriminate crackdown against land grabbers was in progress across the province as 578.6 acres of state lands had been retrieved in Gujranwala, Okara, Kasur and Sahiwal by the Board of Revenue in collaboration with the concerned district administration during which land valuing 1.92 billion and 45 lakh rupees was retrieved.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Babar Hayat Tarar explained that during the last 48 hours, 573.7 acres of state land having worth 1.87 billion, 43 lakh and 70 thousand rupees has been recovered in Gujranwala.

2.4 acres of land has been retained by BoR in Kasur having a value of 4 crores and 75 thousand rupees.

Similarly, 2 acres of state land valuing 44 lakh and 6 Kanal lands of 50 lakh rupees have been regained in Okara and Sahiwal respectively, he added.

Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab said that so far, more than 1 lakh and 90 thousand acres of state land has been retrieved in various parts of the province with a value of 481 billion and 92 crores rupees.
