This is in reference to a news article printed in today’s Pakistan Observer Newspaper titled “BOI has to facilitate businessmen in ease of doing business”. BOI strongly refutes the news on ground that the purported meeting between Secretary BOI & FPCCI never took place.
The alleged meeting referred in the news article was in fact a launch event held on BOI premises on 27th August 2020 for “Launch of 6th Reform Action Plan & Investment Promotion Strategy 2020-2023”. In no way was the event a forum of discussion about business community as portrayed in the news article. The news item clearly projects view point of FPCCI only with no comment or clarification sought from BOI hence calling in question the credibility of the vetting process of published news. —PR
