‘Board of Scholars’ established to assist expats in Islamic matters

A Board of Scholars was established in the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission to assist Overseas Pakistanis in Sharia and Islamic matters. Vice-Chairperson Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmoodul Hasan issued a notification to Sahibzada Haji Rafiqul Hasan Qureshi, Overseas Coordinator for Religious Affairs. On this occasion, Advisor for Information and Interior Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, Spokesperson of Punjab Chief Minister Musrat Jamshed Cheema, Sajjada Nashin Amir Millat Pir Syed Manwar Hussain Shah and other party officials were present.

Vice Chairperson OPC Punjab Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mahmoodul Hasan speaking He said that a board of overseas scholars has been created under the auspices of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission to help overseas Pakistanis.

According to the vision of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, the board of scholars will provide facilities for religious education and training of overseas Pakistanis. He further said that the Overseas Ulema Board will provide assistance to the Pakistanis living abroad to educate them on Sharia and Islamic issues and help them solve their problems.

Overseas Pakistanis will be able to contact the OPC Ulema Board to resolve their Shariah issues. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has taken a good step by fixing the punishment to avoid the scourge of usury. According to the vision of Imran Khan, the Chief Minister of Punjab has taken high steps like making religious education compulsory in schools including the formation of Quran Board, which are commendable.

He said that the Board of OPC Ulama will also provide opportunities for overseas Pakistanis to invest in their homeland in an Islamic and Shariah manner. On this occasion, OPC Coordinator for Religious Affairs, Haji Rafiqul Hassan Qureshi thanked the Vice-Chairperson Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mahmoodul Hassan and said that work has been done for the Overseas Pakistanis as per the vision of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan. Full support and training in religious matters will be provided to Pakistanis living abroad.

He further said that the efforts of Vice Chairperson Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmoodul Hasan for the overseas community are commendable. The team of OPC Punjab is always engaged in serving the Overseas Pakistanis.

He said that Pakistanis living abroad are the true ambassadors of the beloved country. With the help of OPC, scholars played an important role in educating them to solve Islamic and Shariah problems.

He said that the efforts of Vice-Chairperson OPC Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmoodul Hasan and the message of Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission will be made public all over the world. Overseas Pakistani scholars living around the world will also be given special awareness about the facilities provided by the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission in the religious workshop and gathering.
