BMP sweeps FPCCI elections Anjum Nisar to lead FPCCI for the term 2020

Leadership of Businessmen Panel after chasing five long years, achieved the goal by winning the FPCCI elections 2019-20. Majority of candidates nominated by the Businessmen Panel (BMP) have succeeded in the elections of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for next term. According to unofficial results on Friday, the BMP won on eight Vice President’s seats including the slots of president, the senior vice president vote count withheld and the sealed envelope to decide the fate of SVP.
The provisional results showed that the BMP nominated candidates for vice presidents have also won 8 seats out of 11. UBG secured only 4 seats of the VPs. Candidates of BMP for the vice president seats including Qaiser Khan, Abdul Qayyum, Juma Khan, Shaikh Sultan Rehman, Roohi Rizwan, Khurrum Aijaz and Dr. Muhammad Arshad unofficially declared victorious. On the other hand, Zubair Baweja, Muhammad Ali Quaid, Nadeem Shaikh and Zahid Iqbal remain successful on VP seats.
Senior Vice Chairman BMP said that the FPCCI will lead the business community without the discrimination. Since the last five years, especially small business community left unattended. Anjum Nisar while talking to “Pakistan Observer” said that the BMP will nail out the corruption of past and boost the trade.
