Jammu

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has questioned the Indian govt’s claims of development and peace in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) after Narendra Modi led Indian government’s unilateral and illegal decision to revoke Article 370 on August 5, 2019, saying what change BJP has brought since its direct rule in the territory except rendering locals jobless and snatching business from them.

Mehbooba Mufti was addressing a party meeting in R S Pura town in Jammu. The PDP chief said that following the scrapping of IIOJK’s special status the youth have been pushed into hopelessness as they have to now compete with outsiders for jobs in the territory.

She said that the authorities withdrew the posts advertized prior to August 5, 2019 to allow the outsiders from all over India to apply for these positions.—KMS
