The cryptocurrency market rallied on Monday, recovering from last week’s sell-off caused by the coronavirus variant Omicron, with the market capitalisation gaining 4.1 percent to reach $2.7 trillion as of 1330 hours GMT.
The largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin price jumped by 5 percent to reach $57,087. With this increase in price, the market capitalisation of the biggest cryptocurrency has reached 1.08 trillion.
Ether, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, gained 5.69 percent to reach $4,322. With this increase in price, the market capitalisation of ETH has reached $507.8 billion. —TLTP
