ISLAMABAD – The Benazir Taleemi Wazaif is an education stipend initiative that aims at supporting children of marginalized families in getting education in Pakistan.
The programme was launched in 2012 to provide financial assistance to families so they can bear the education expense of their children. It is also aimed at increasing school enrollment and attendance.
The initiative is part of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) which provides provincial financial support to huge number of families across Pakistan. The programme has been named after former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
The beneficiary groups include the families having income level below a defied threshold, facing socio-economic challenges and families from rural areas.
The government has made three categories to provide educational stipend. It includes primary school children, higher school children and higher secondary school children.
Income Level to Join BISP Taleem Wazaif Program
The families seeking financial support for primary school children must have their monthly income below Rs25,000.
Families with below Rs30,000 per month income are eligible to get assistance for higher school children while the income should be less than Rs45,000 per month if you a re seeking support for higher second students.

Per Quarter BISE Education Stipend
The per quarter stipend for primary school boy student is Rs2,000 while it is Rs2,500 for girl student. Similarly, the quarterly stipend for male students of secondary education stands at Rs3,000 while it is Rs3,500 for female students.
Similarly, the eligible male students of higher secondary will get a support of Rs4,000 per quarter while it will be Rs4,500 for female students.
