Massive scam has come to light involving the disbursement of billions in subsidies by the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) to schools across Sindh. An audit report has revealed severe violations of laws and regulations in the distribution of these funds to 27 schools, raising alarm over the misuse of national resources.
According to the report, more than Rs. 8,532 million were allocated as subsidies to school owners whose registrations and National Tax Numbers (NTNs) had expired, in direct breach of established policies. The audit also found that these subsidy payments were made without verifying the enrollment and attendance records of the 27 schools in question.
This oversight constitutes a serious breach of conduct, prompting the report to call for an immediate investigation to hold the responsible parties accountable.
