Islamabad: After the completion of his visit to the United States, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will visit China on Saturday at the special invitation of China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The Foreign Minister will be accompanied by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and senior officials.
The visit to China would be FM Bilawal’s first bilateral visit abroad since assuming office last month.
During the visit, the Foreign Minister will hold extensive consultations with State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The two leaders will review the entire gamut of bilateral relations, with a particular focus on stronger trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
The revolutionary China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is the centrepiece project of President Xi Jinping’s visionary Belt and Road Initiative, will also be discussed.

In addition, the two sides will have a wide-ranging discussion of significant regional and worldwide issues.
The visit of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari comes on the 71st anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations.
The Foreign Minister’s visit will assist in strengthening Pakistan and China’s time-tested All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, boost and deepen CPEC-related engagement, and discover new channels for bilateral cooperation that will benefit both nations and peoples.
