Bilawal summons PPP CEC meeting on political situation

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has summoned a meeting of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the party in Karachi on May 19 (today). The meeting will be chaired by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari where matters pertaining to the ongoing political situation would come under discussion. The meeting will be held at the Bilawal House Karachi. The PPP chairman, in consultation with party members, will decide the party’s future line of action. The huddle will also consult over the outcome of the meeting of the National Security Committee, which was held in Islamabad on Tuesday. NSC vows action against May 9 attackers

A National Security Committee (NSC) meeting on Friday agreed to bring to justice the “spoilers” involved in the recent attacks on military installations on May 9 – the day Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was arrested, ARY News reported on Tuesday, citing sources.

Prime Minster (PM) Shehbaz Sharif convened a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) – the apex national body that oversees security matters – to review the law and order situation following ‘violent protests’ after Imran Khan’s arrest.

The services chiefs, relevant federal ministers, heads of the civil and military intelligence gathering agencies also attend the meeting.
