Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with his sister Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, released around 300 baby green turtles at the Hawkes bay Beach on Monday.
“We must preserve and protect these turtles,” Bilawal said, adding that they wanted to show they really cared about the species.
Accompanied by Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Bangul Khan Mahar, the special assistant to Chief Minister for Wildlife and Forest, Bilawal arrived at the Turtle
He visited the nursery and met the staff deployed at the facility that annually releases thousands of baby turtles.
Excited to touch the baby turtles, he said that it was an amazing sight to witness.
He told the officials of the Sindh Wildlife Department that he would ask the provincial government to immediately resolve the issues being faced by the department, which include a lack of resources and a shortage of employees.
