In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ah-med Siddiqui, has extended full support to new structure of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC).

The APHC has appointed illegally detained Ma-sarrat Aalam Butt as its new Chairman and Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar as Vice Chairmen while Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani will continue to work as General Secretary of the Hurri-yat Conference.

Bilal Siddiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar said, though the void left by the departure of Syed Ali Gilani is not possible to fill but APHC leaders as the caretakers and guardians of movement are duty-bound to carry his mission and legacy forward without any fear, intimidation and compromise.

He said, the APHC is representing a movement with a huge investment of sacrifices and sentiments and it would continue its struggle for Kashmiris’ birthright to self-determination.

“We salute the courage and steadfastness of our jailed colleagues and comrades for their determination towards the cause of freedom,” Bilal Siddiqui maintained.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, discussing with the members of Kashmir High Court Bar Association in a Srinagar court welcomed the appointment of Masarrat Aalam Butt as the new Chairman of APHC.

He said that the huge sacrifices of the Kashmiris for the Kashmir cause would not go waste and would definitely bring positive results. He added that Kashmir dispute was a nuclear flashpoint and the whole South Asia was on nuclear edge.

The Chairman of United Jihad Council (UJC), Syed Saladuddin in a statement issued in Muzaf-farabad welcomed the appointment of Masarrat Alam Butt as new APHC Chairman.

He said that after the deaths of the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani and Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, the deci-sion to appoint Masarrat Alam Butt as APHC Chairman was timely and encouraging.
