LAHORE – The government of Punjab increased court fees and stamp duties after approving Finance Bill 2024-25.
Stamp duties for affidavits, mutual agreements, powers of attorney, divorce papers, and rental agreements saw massive increase as government is looking to generate Rs4.2 billion annually.
After approval of these charges, the rate for affidavits has been increased from Rs100 to Rs300, stamp duty for the sale of immovable property moved up from Rs. 1,200 to Rs. 3,000, and contracts worth half million will now cost Rs. 3,000, and the fee for divorce papers has been jacked up from Rs100 to Rs1,000.
