Tech giant Apple is facing challenges in China and in several other countries amid close competition with rival brands offering, and now the company slashed the price of its flagship device iPhone 15.
Apple slashed prices of its iPhone 15 models, offering discounts of up to 20percent to boost sales. Buyers can avail discount from Alibaba’s Tmall, with the 256GB iPhone 15 Pro Max now priced at $1,100 down.
iPhone 15 128GB model is now over 20 percent cheaper at 4,599 yuan, down from 5,999 yuan. The sale is scheduled from May 20 to 28.

Despite these discounts, Apple’s mainland online Apple Store has maintained its prices. The discounts indicate Apple’s efforts to stimulate demand for its flagship product, following an decline in iPhone sales in China and other regions in first quarter.
The market of US-based phone in China dropped to 15.7% in the same quarter, compared to 20.2% a year earlier, due to competition from Chinese brands like Vivo, Honor, and Huawei.
