KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan recorded sharp decline amid losses in the international bullion market, as the price of 24Karat bullion fell by Rs5,600 per tola, while silver also registered a modest decrease in the local market.
Gold prices in Pakistan declined significantly on Tuesday, tracking losses in the international bullion market. The domestic market witnessed a notable drop in both per tola and 10-gram gold rates. The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs5,600, bringing the new rate to Rs424,136. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs4,801, settling at Rs363,628.

The latest decline follows Monday’s downward trend, when the price of gold had already dropped by Rs3,800 per tola, closing at Rs429,736.
The fall in local prices came amid weakness in the global bullion market. Internationally, the price of gold slipped by $56 per ounce, reaching $4,017 per ounce, a rate that includes a $20 premium.
Silver prices also moved lower in the domestic market. The price of silver per tola declined by Rs50, taking the rate to Rs6,289.
