KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan started the week on weaker note, falling below Rs430,000 mark per tola in line with losses in the international bullion market.
On Monday, the price of 24-karat gold declined by Rs3,800 to settle at Rs429,736 per tola, while silver prices also moved lower. The rate for 10 grams of gold fell by Rs3,258 to Rs368,429.

Internationally, gold prices also came under pressure, falling by $38 per ounce to $4,073, a rate that includes a premium of $20. The weakness in global bullion prices was reflected in the domestic market, leading to lower local gold rates.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded a decline. The price of silver fell by Rs123 per tola, bringing the local rate down to Rs6,339.
