Bid to smuggle 36 tons wheat foiled

The police foiled a bid to smuggled hundreds of bags wheat, confiscated the truck and arrested the driver here on Friday.

After a tip-off regarding wheat smuggling, in line with the directions of SSP Khuzdar Fahad Khan Khosa, SHO Khuzdar City Javed Aslam and Additional SHO Mitha Khan along with their team conducted operation.

During search of a truck bearing registration number TKR-317, as many as 750 bags wheat weighing 36 tons and worth million of rupees being smuggled were recovered.—INP
