Punjab Food Department foiled a bid to huge cache of urea fertilizer to Sindh and arrested six truck drivers here on Thursday.
In line with directives of the Deputy Commissioner, the Food Department conducted operation at Sindh-Punjab check post in Rahim Yar Khan.
During operation, 1791 bags of urea loaded in six trucks and being smuggled from Punjab to Sindh were recovered.
The Food Department impounded the trucks and arrested the drivers who were being investigated after registering a case against them.—INP
